本学会と大韓歯科補綴学会との学術交流が締結される 第106回学術大会から始まった本学会と大韓歯科補綴学会（KAP）との学術交流をより強固なものにすべく，「日韓国民交流年」の記念の年に，本学会は大韓歯科補綴学会との学術交流書を締結しました． 調印式は，平成14年11月28日(木)に釜山の釜山ロッテホテルにおいて両学会から約30名の参加を得て行われました．本学会からは，川添堯彬会長をはじめ9名の先生方が出席しました．大韓歯科補綴学会からは，Dae-Gyun
Choi KAP会長をはじめKAP役員のほとんどの先生方が出席されました．
KAPとの協定書の紹介
日本国日本補綴歯科学会と大韓民国大韓歯科補綴学会は双方協議に依り，両学会間の学術交流および友好，協力関係を樹立しようと合意して，この協定を締結する． 第1条 両学会はこの協定の実施に際して友好，平等および相互理解の精神で充分に協議して，お互いに相手の学会の制度を尊重する． 第2条 上記に明示された目的を実現するために双方に対等な原則と自国の法律および会則に違反しない範囲内で下記事項の実施に努力する． 1．学術大会の共同開催 2．研究に必要な資料と図書の交換 3．共同研究計画の推進 4．研究者の相互交流 第3条 本協定書の具体的内容に関しては細則を定める． 第4条 本協定書の有効期間は3年として，以後双方どちら側でも相手側にこの協定の解消を提議していない限り，本協定は自動的に継続、効力を有していることとする． 万一どちらかの一方が協定の廃止または変更を提議する時には，提議日から両者合意の下に六カ月後に廃止または変更する． 第5条
本協定書は日韓両国語で作成して双方の代表者が署名，捺印を行うと同時に双方効力をもつこととする．
調印式は，両学会長による協定書への署名からはじまり，Dae-Gyun
Choi KAP会長，川添堯彬会長の挨拶の後，前会長Heun-Taik
Jhee先生による流暢な日本語による祝辞が述べられ、次いで、赤川学術委員長より挨拶がありました。その後，Jung-Suk
Han，古谷野 潔，両学会の国際交流委員長より参加者の紹介がありました．

本学会とKAPとの第1回目の合同学術大会開催される 昨年の秋季KAP学術大会から，本学会の会員による発表が行われるようになりましたが，今年度の秋季KAP学術大会は，両学会の学術交流書調印後の学会ですので，実質的には第1回目の共催学会に当たります．本学会を代表して赤川安正教授（広島大学大学院）により、「Innovative
concepts and technologies applied to dental implants」と題して特別講演が行われました．
